I’ve worked in and with different types of organizations in varying industries, with all aspects of marketing. As business director, marketing director and now as consultant I’ve always been concerned with making companies better at marketing.
Some view marketing as marcoms. Others view marketing as all aspects of customer, brand and market management - often a more useful view because it compels marketing to champion the company’s strategic objectives.
Regardless, my belief is that high-performance in marketing is achieved not by creating snappier marketing material, running more campaigns, or adding incremental products to the mix. That would be letting the tail wag the dog. But by reconfiguring and professionalizing the way companies manage marketing as a function and discipline to ultimately achieve better results in the market.

The working relationship is close between the client, their teams, and me. I may on occasion bring in specific expertise from my network if such is required. This may include product management, sales, research/analytics, finance, or IT/business process expertise.
